Individualization and Differentiation in the Consciousness Soul Age: Advanced Seminar for Experienced Waldorf Teachers.
Sound Circle is excited to announce a new professional development course designed for experienced teachers in our region, Individualization and Differentiation in the Consciousness Soul Age: Advanced Seminar for Experienced Waldorf Teachers.
This new course provides an opportunity for experienced Grades and High School teachers to explore deeper aspects of the Waldorf curriculum and teaching and bring what they learn into practice with colleagues at their schools. The course is appropriate for teachers who have completed training and have a minimum of five years of successful teaching in a Waldorf School.
Led by Nettie Fabrie, Wim Gottenbos and guest teachers, the course will explore how to:
Find inspiration and renewal as experienced teachers
Better connect our teaching to the impulse of Anthroposophy
Develop new impulses in our teaching through collegial collaboration
Do joint research into pedagogical issues we face
Share wisdom and wealth from our experience
Further an understanding and practical application of Individualization and Differentiation (polarities, temperaments, learning styles)
Re-enliven the genius of individual subjects
Re-enliven the rhythm of the week
Deepen our capacity for child observation and understanding child development
This Course is currently on hold due to COVID-19
The course begins in March 2019 and will run for four weekend sessions ending in October 2021. The dates are , March 14, 15, 16 2019, Oct 24, 25, 26 2019 and March 26, 27, 28 2020 Oct 2021 dates TBD. Each weekend will run from dinner on Thursday through Saturday midday and will include presentations, movement, singing, study, artistic, eurythmy and collaborative work. Separate sessions will focus on Polarities, Temperaments and Soul Types, and Learning Styles. Sessions will be held at St Augustine in the Woods in Freeland on Whidbey Island. Cost of each session is $450 plus a $30 fee for common meals. Reduced fees for multiple participants from a single school are $400 plus a meals fee of $30.
