Become a Trained Waldorf Teacher! Open House - May 4, 2026

What if aftercare could be more than a bridge between school and home—what if it were a true extension of the Waldorf rhythm? This introductory course is designed for aftercare teachers, program coordinators, administrators, and anyone interested in creating a vibrant, integrated aftercare program that supports the whole school. Over two live online sessions, you will explore foundational pedagogical principles, child development across early childhood and the grades, and practical tools for building daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms. Whether you are starting a new program or deepening an existing one, you will leave inspired, resourced, and connected to a community of colleagues.

About Your Instructors

Stephanie Packer grew up in New Jersey and graduated with a BA in Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Shortly after college, she discovered both her passion for teaching and the Waldorf pedagogy. Stephanie began her Waldorf teacher training in the United States and finished it in Spain, where she helped found a new Waldorf school in Seville. Since that time, she has been committed to supporting the Waldorf movement both locally and abroad. She has worked in many capacities at various Waldorf schools, including Class Teacher for grades 1–8, Spanish Teacher, English Teacher, Educational Support Coordinator, Early Childhood Assistant, After-Curricular Activities Teacher, and Assistant Dean of Students. She is currently completing her certification in Waldorf Learning Support/Extra Lesson. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, running, exploring nature, reading, and supporting local Waldorf communities. She believes that all children deserve to spend their golden years surrounded by what is beautiful, good, and true—and that is why she has dedicated her path to bringing Waldorf pedagogy to everyone she can.

Daniel Packer brings a background in philosophy, cosmology, and the evolution of consciousness to his role on our faculty, where he teaches the pedagogical and anthroposophical foundations of Waldorf education. His graduate studies—which traced the integrated development of the arts, sciences, and the corresponding world-conceptions that stand behind them—directly inform his practical expertise as a former grades teacher, high school humanities teacher, and mentor. His first teaching jobs were as an Aftercare Teacher in both private and public school settings. Daniel studied Waldorf education at the Center for Anthroposophy and has pursued further anthroposophical and artistic development with four years of rigorous full-time training in eurythmy. He is dedicated to the vocation of Waldorf education as the very practice of evolving consciousness, hoping to inspire in our trainees both a love for this mighty task and the living capacities to meet it.
